The Year 3 and 4 Team are doing a small focus on languages and arts. We are doing a weekly rotation around the classes each Wednesday afternoon from 2pm until just before 3 pm. Room 10 are focussing this week on New Zealand sign language and drama activities. Room 11 are looking at Te Reo Maori and music. Room 12 are focused on Dutch and Dance. Each week for 6 weeks classes will rotate between the three classrooms, giving each class two lessons in each of the three languages and performing arts.
I have put a link to the New Zealand sign language alphabet on this page so the classes can practise using NZ sign fingerspelling using letters. Several students quickly learned to communicate a few letters after only viewing the video 3 times.
